In order to widely unite scientific and technological workers engaged in precision therapy clinical frontline, promote academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation, focus on the development of new technologies for accurate diagnosis and treatment of diseases, the transformation and application of precision medicine, share the latest research results, deeply explore cutting-edge technologies, exchange experiences and lessons, and establish partnerships, the 2023 Academic Annual Conference of the Precision Medicine Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society, hosted by the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society, was successfully held in Nanchong from November 10 to 12, 2023.

    The plenary committee of the Precision Medicine Branch was held on the evening of November 10th. The meeting was chaired by Zhou Jueqiao, Deputy Secretary General of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society. Shen Bairong, President of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society, delivered a speech, and Xie Dan, President of the Precision Medicine Branch, delivered a speech at the meeting.

    President Shen Bairong pointed out that everyone should actively participate in the activities of the society, jointly explore the development and application of precision medicine, and contribute to the development of bioinformatics.

    President Xie Dan stated that the Precision Medicine Branch has always been committed to promoting the development and application of precision medicine. He hopes that this conference can provide a platform for everyone to exchange and learn, and jointly explore the development and application of precision medicine.

    Vice Secretary General Zhou Jueqiao emphasized the Tianfu Science and Technology Cloud platform to all members. Tianfu Science and Technology Cloud is a technology service public platform created by the Sichuan Association for Science and Technology, aiming to provide more convenient and efficient technology services for enterprises, researchers, and scientific workers. The attendees had in-depth discussions on how to use Tianfu Technology Cloud to promote the development of precision medicine, and put forward suggestions on how to strengthen the promotion and application of the society in this field.

    The next day, the annual meeting of the branch entered the academic conference segment.

    At the meeting, Professor Peng Haitao, President of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society Shen Bairong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of Nanchong Central Hospital, delivered speeches and warmly welcomed the arrival of all experts and scholars. Professor Feng Gang, Vice President of Nanchong Central Hospital, presided over the opening ceremony. More than 200 workers engaged in precision medicine from various institutions including Southwest Medical University Affiliated Hospital, Western Theater Command General Hospital, Suining Central Hospital, Mianyang Central Hospital, Deyang People's Hospital, Chengdu Medical College Affiliated Hospital, and Chuanbei Medical College participated in the conference.

    The meeting invited Xie Dan, a researcher who is the director of the Laboratory of Organization Technology and Bioinformation of the Disease Molecular Network Frontier Science Center of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Wang Wei, a researcher who is the director of the Immunogene Cell Therapy Room of the State Key Laboratory of Biotherapy of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Zeng Fanxin, an associate researcher who is a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Dazhou Central Hospital, Song Liang, an associate chief physician of the Cancer Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy Department of West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University, Dr. Liu Linlin, the Department of Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering of the School of Advanced Manufacturing Engineering of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Xiao Congboshi, the director of the Department of Orthopaedics of Mianyang Third People's Hospital, Luo Xuwei, the deputy chief physician of the Department of Orthopaedics of Nanchong Central Hospital, Bi Jun Chief pharmacist Qiang, Ten experts, including Associate Researcher Liu Kang, Director of the Precision Medicine Center at Nanchong Central Hospital, took the stage to share their scientific research on topics such as nanopore sequencing technology, cross fusion of precision medicine and artificial intelligence, application of CAR-T cell therapy for solid tumors, precision treatment of ovarian cancer and biomarkers for precision diagnosis and treatment, application of 3D printing, pharmacogenomics testing, and tumor MRD detection, focusing on the development of new technologies for precise diagnosis and treatment of Jiao disease and the translational application of precision medicine.

    Medical and scientific researchers attending the conference generally believe that holding this high-level academic conference is an academic event for precision medicine professionals to learn from each other, exchange ideas, and improve each other.
