With the theme "Immunity, Disease, Health, and Smart Healthcare from the Perspective of Data Science," the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Smart Immunity Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society was successfully held at the Health Medical Technology School of DongRuan College in Chengdu from December 1st to 3rd, 2023. The meeting this year invited experts and young scholars from related fields such as biology, medicine, and computer science at home and abroad. Through the theories, research methods, and applications of artificial intelligence and data science, the meeting aimed to clarify the scientific connotation of immunity from multiple angles, to have a panoramic cognition of the operating mechanism of the human immune system under healthy and disease conditions, to decipher the immune code with new research paradigms, to promote precision diagnosis and treatment, and to serve the "Healthy China" strategy.

   The morning session on December 2nd was chaired by the branch's director committee member Huang Jian and Professor Lin Hao from the University of Electronic Science Technology. President Shen Bairong of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society and Professor Zhang Yinghui, President of Dong软 College, delivered speeches. Subsequently, Professor Tao Schence from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Professor Balachandran Manavalan from Sungkyunkwan University, Professor Guo Anyuan from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and Professor Cao Yang shared their scientific research on ultra-high-throughput antibody recognition epitope resolution technology and its application, artificial intelligence exploration of multimodal data to accelerate biomedical knowledge discovery, T cell receptor library analysis methods and databases, and B cell receptor library analysis methods.

   The afternoon session on December 2nd was chaired by Secretary-General Professor Ning Lin, and the meeting invited Professor Lv Hao from the University of Electronic Science Technology, Professor Tang Hua from Southwest Medical University, and Jiang Hai, the founder and CEO of Chengdu Shengshi Junlian Biotechnology Co., Ltd., to give keynote speeches on semi-supervised generative model analysis methods based on single-cell three-dimensional genome data, coronary heart disease risk assessment based on health check-up big data, and BioAI-driven drug development.

   Subsequently, the Smart Immunity Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society held a general meeting of all members on the afternoon of December 2nd in the International Report Hall on the third floor of the Huating Library of Dong软 College. The meeting summarized the work of the Smart Immunity Branch over the past year and completed the re-election of the director committee member. Deputy Secretary-General Zhou Jueqiao of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society and all members of the Smart Immunity Branch attended the meeting.

   At the meeting, the current director committee member Professor Huang Jian summarized the work of the branch over the past year. He first introduced the changes in the working environment of the branch in the past year. Under rapidly changing circumstances, the Smart Immunity Branch, with the joint efforts of all members, overcame various difficulties and actively promoted research and application in the field of smart immunity, achieving a series of results. This is the crystallization of the joint efforts and wisdom of all members. Then, Professor Huang Jian introduced the situation of the re-election of the director committee member. He said that due to the need for the development of the branch, the director committee member was adjusted during the term. The candidate for the next director committee member, Professor Guo Anyuan from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, was confirmed through application and democratic recommendation. The purpose of this meeting was to complete the re-election of the director committee member. Finally, Professor Huang Jian expressed his gratitude to all the members of the branch for their efforts and hoped that everyone would continue to work hard to promote the development of the society to a new stage.

   After the summary report, the meeting entered the re-election process. First, Deputy Secretary-General Zhou Jueqiao of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society read out the "Reply on Agreeing to the Replacement of the Director Committee Member during the Term of the Branch" and introduced the candidate for the next director committee member, Professor Guo Anyuan. Then, according to the requirements of the society's re-election work regulations, the new director committee member was elected by a vote of all attending members. Professor Guo Anyuan from West China Hospital of Sichuan University took office, and Professor Huang Jian no longer served as the director committee member.

   The next speaker was the newly elected director committee member Professor Guo Anyuan, who expressed his gratitude for the trust and support of all members. He and the branch's management team would live up to everyone's expectations and make every effort to promote the new development of the Smart Immunity Branch. In subsequent work, the branch would continue to adhere to the principles of openness, collaboration, and innovation, strengthen interdisciplinary and academic exchanges, and enhance the research level and innovation capability in the field of smart immunity.

The successful re-election of the general meeting of all members of the Smart Immunity Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society marks a new opportunity and challenge for research and development in the field of smart immunity. Under the leadership of the new director, with the joint efforts of all members, the branch will continue to make more outstanding achievements in scientific research, education, industry, and other aspects, and make a greater contribution to the cause of smart immunity in Sichuan Province and the whole country.
