【Meeting Brief】Sichuan Bioinformatics Society's Artificial Intelligence—Hematologic Oncology Branch Series Lecture and Exchange Meeting—Yibin Station Was Successfully Convened!

   In order to better promote the development of clinical diagnosis and treatment technology for hematologic oncology in Sichuan Province, strengthen academic exchanges, and promote the deep integration of bioinformatics with clinical practice, on March 16, 2023, the "Sichuan Bioinformatics Society Hematologic Oncology Clinical New Progress Series Lecture and Exchange Meeting"—Yibin Station, hosted by the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society and undertaken by the Artificial Intelligence—Hematologic Oncology and Cell Therapy Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society, was successfully convened.

At the meeting, the opening remarks were delivered by Professor Jia Yongqian, a professor from the Hematology Department of West China Hospital of Sichuan University and the director of the Artificial Intelligence—Hematologic Oncology and Cell Therapy Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society, and Director Huang Shihua from the Hematology Department of the Second People's Hospital of Yibin City. They stated: "The convening of this exchange meeting is an important measure for us to actively respond to the national strategy of innovation-driven development and to promote the continuous advancement of clinical diagnosis and treatment technology for hematologic oncology in Sichuan Province and even the whole country. We hope that through such a platform, we can gather the wisdom and strength from all sides to discuss the latest research progress in the field of hematologic oncology, share clinical experience, and contribute to improving the quality of life and health level of patients."

The academic report session featured lectures by Professor Jia Yongqian, Professor Li Hui from the Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, and Professor Su Yi from the Hematology Department of the Western Theater Command General Hospital, as well as Professor Zhang Li from West China Hospital of Sichuan University. They covered topics from frontier hot spots in the diagnosis and treatment of hematologic diseases to in-depth analysis of key difficulties, from domestic and international standard guidelines to the latest research progress, providing attendees with an academic feast.

The discussion session was lively, with participants deeply discussing hot topics in the field of hematologic oncology. Experts, combining their clinical experience and research results, put forward many insightful views and suggestions.

Finally, Director Jia Yongqian concluded the meeting. He first thanked all participants for their active participation and contributions. He pointed out that the reports and discussions at the meeting not only demonstrated the latest research results and clinical practices in the field of hematologic oncology but also reflected some of the challenges and future development directions in this field. He emphasized that precision therapy, cell immunotherapy, and comprehensive patient management are the hot and key points in the current field of hematologic oncology, which require joint efforts to strengthen research and exploration to provide better treatment plans and services for patients. He looks forward to holding more similar exchange activities in the future, gathering more wisdom and strength, and jointly promoting the prosperity and development of the field of hematologic oncology.
