【Meeting Notice】Notice on the Series of Reports on Translational Bioinformatics and Interdisciplinary Integration (I)

Dear colleagues:

    The Bioinformatics Cloud Forum—Series of Reports on Translational Bioinformatics and Interdisciplinary Integration (I), hosted by the Chinese Bioinformatics Society (Preparation) and organized by the Sichuan Provincial Bioinformatics Society, will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021, from 10:00 to 11:30 Beijing Time. We are honored to invite Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor Andrew E. Teschendorff from the Chinese Academy of Sciences-Max Planck Partner Institute for Computational Biology to give a presentation titled "Episcore: a general method for cell-type deconvolution of bulk DNA methylomes". The report will be chaired by Professor Shen Bairong. All colleagues in bioinformatics are welcome to participate actively.

Reporter

Andrew E. Teschendorff

Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor

    Andrew E. Teschendorff is currently a researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Chinese Academy of Sciences-Max Planck Partner Institute for Computational Biology. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Theoretical Particle Physics from the University of Cambridge in 2000. He has served as a professor of statistical cancer genomics at the Cancer Research UK London Research Institute, University College London, and as a Newton Advanced Fellow of the Royal Society. His research focus is on statistical bioinformatics, mainly concentrating on the statistical analysis of cancer epigenomics and cancer systems biology. The goal of his research is to apply innovative computational methods to help understand tumor formation and develop new tools for cancer risk prediction and early diagnosis.
