With the rapid and in-depth development of computer science and bioinformatics, the Bioinformatics Society of Sichuan Province (BISSC) has been established to cultivate innovative talents in bioinformatics, serving a broad membership of BISSC as well as clinical biological research workers. The society is organizing a series of bioinformatics-related training classes.

Bioinformatics is one of the significant frontier fields in life sciences and natural sciences today and represents an interdisciplinary area. With the development of high-throughput sequencing technology, a massive amount of multi-omics data has been generated, greatly impacting the field of biomedicine and becoming its latest driving force. As life sciences have entered the era of big data, this emerging discipline of bioinformatics plays an increasingly vital role in scientific research and practical applications, and the demand for professionals in bioinformatics will continue to grow. This training is aimed at researchers without a background in computer languages who need to engage in bioinformatics-related research work.
