Revisiting the Oath of Joining the Party and Recalling the Original Intention of Becoming a Party Member

    On July 12, 2021, the establishment conference and party member meeting of the Party Branch of the Sichuan Provincial Bioinformatics Society was held in the society's meeting room.

    At the meeting, Deputy Secretary Chen Jun of the United Front Work Department of the Provincial Science Association read out the "Reply on Agreeing to the Establishment of the Party Branch of the Sichuan Provincial Bioinformatics Society." According to the party constitution, the first Party Branch Secretary was elected by secret ballot, and Comrade Chen Bin, the Secretary-General of the Society, was elected as the first Party Branch Secretary of the Sichuan Provincial Bioinformatics Society.

    Deputy Secretary Chen Jun expressed warm congratulations on the establishment of the Party Branch. He hoped to carry out the "Party Building Strengthening Society" work well, to put the strong political construction in the first place, to give full play to the role of the fighting fortress and the vanguard and exemplary role of party members, to strengthen the service for scientific and technological workers, to improve the scientific literacy of the whole people, to serve the innovation-driven development, and to serve the scientific decision-making of the party committee and the government. Under the leadership of the party, continuously grow and strengthen.

    Party Branch Secretary Comrade Chen Bin stated that the establishment of the Party Branch coincides with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the party, which is of great significance. In the future work, I will lead the branch to strengthen political construction, maintain the society's original intention of serving the vast number of scientific and technological workers, continuously enhance business capabilities, do a good job in academic exchanges, innovation leadership, popularization of scientific culture, and other work, so that the society will grow and develop under the leadership of the party.

    All party members attending the meeting expressed their full support for the work of the Party Branch, to give full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of party members, and to contribute to the development of the society. After the meeting, all party members were full of enthusiasm and solemnly reviewed the oath of joining the party under the party flag, recalling the original intention of joining the party, and further strengthening the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the Party Branch. The meeting was a complete success and opened the prelude to the historical mission of the Party Branch of the Sichuan Provincial Bioinformatics Society.
