On July 5, 2024, the Party Branch Committee of Sichuan Bioinformatics Society successfully held a Party Day activity with the theme of "Fortifying the Ideological Defense and Being Brave in Self-Reform" at noon. This activity was a concrete action to implement a series of important instructions from the Party Central Committee on strengthening Party building, aiming to further enhance the discipline awareness of Party members and improve the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the Party organization.

   At the beginning of the activity, Comrade Li Xiaoyu, the Party branch secretary, delivered an in-depth Party class education on the topic of "Strengthening Discipline Awareness and Fortifying the Ideological Defense." The content of the Party class was divided into two parts: first, by studying the warning cases of Party discipline education, including issues such as the irregular development of Party members by Comrade Li, the wavering of ideals and beliefs by Comrade Xu, and the violation of Party regulations and political discipline by Xu, Party members profoundly realized the importance of abiding by Party discipline; second, by organizing to watch warning education videos such as "The Call of the Original Aspiration," "Five Fish," and "Heart Room," guiding Party members to review their original aspirations and firm up their ideals and beliefs from three dimensions: mentor's advice, family warning, and self-reflection.

   Subsequently, Comrade Zong Hui, the organization committee member, presided over the organizational life meeting. In a serious atmosphere, all Party members carried out in-depth criticism and self-criticism in conjunction with their actual work. Party members had a candid exchange on issues such as the form of branch activities, the arrangement of activity time, the organization of holiday characteristic activities, and the participation of some Party members, and they self-analyzed issues such as insufficient ideological and political learning and low usage rate of the "Study the Country" app.

   In terms of the payment of Party dues, Comrade Zong Hui explained in detail the relevant regulations on the payment of Party dues and reported on the collection of Party dues by the branch. In addition, Comrade Li Xiaoyu also disclosed to all Party members the detailed account book of the Party building funds income and expenditure and made a meticulous arrangement for the next step of Party building work. The successful holding of this themed Party Day activity not only strengthened the ideological education of Party members but also laid a solid foundation for further promoting the development of the Party branch work. The Party branch committee will continue to adhere to the work style of "three stricts and three realities," and continuously promote the in-depth development of Party building work.
