On September 19, 2021, the "Sichuan Provincial Bioinformatics Society Male Health Branch Establishment Ceremony and the First Academic Exchange Meeting," hosted by the Sichuan Provincial Bioinformatics Society and undertaken by the Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, was successfully held at the Emei Snow Bud Hotel in Chengdu. Secretary-General Chen Bin of the Sichuan Provincial Bioinformatics Society, Professor Wei Qiang from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Director Mingxing Qiu of the Sichuan Provincial Medical Science Academy and Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Dean Jin Yang from the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University, Director Qiang Feng of the Sichuan Provincial Medical Science Academy and Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Dr. Dehong Cao from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Director Xiaohui Gu from the Medical Affairs Department of the Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, and nearly a hundred experts and scholars from inside and outside the province attended the conference.

    The conference elected the honorary president, president, vice presidents, secretary-general, executive committee members, and members of the branch according to the society's "Articles of Association." Director Mingxing Qiu of the Sichuan Provincial Medical Science Academy and Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital and Dean Jin Yang of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University served as the honorary presidents. Director Qiang Feng of the Sichuan Provincial Medical Science Academy and Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital was elected as the president. Comrades Dehong Cao, Xiaohui Gu, Jing Liu, and Yang Wang were elected as vice presidents. Twelve comrades, including Chaoyou Huang, were elected as executive committee members. Fifty-seven comrades, including Xunzhong Miao, were appointed as members, and Zhang Hui was appointed as the secretary-general.

    Dean Jin Yang of the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University stated that the diagnosis and treatment of male diseases involve multiple disciplines and emphasized the need to establish a holistic view of disease diagnosis and treatment. He hopes that under the leadership of the society, the branch will achieve better results in the construction of key specialties in andrology.

    At the subsequent academic exchange meeting, several experts and scholars from inside and outside the province shared and discussed topics such as the progress in the diagnosis and treatment of male diseases, clinical case discussions, the development direction of andrology under internet medicine, the construction of doctors' personal brands, and andrology nursing. The experts' presentations were splendid, and the participants were fully engaged, gaining a lot. Professor Yifeng Yuan from the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, a leading male disease expert in China who first tried to use social media operations and achieved success, gave a detailed explanation of the methods of building doctors' personal brands and shared his operational experience on various social media platforms.
