【Society News】The Inaugural Meeting and First Academic Forum of the Medical and Health Information Communication Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society Successfully Held in Chengdu
In order to thoroughly implement the spirit of the "Healthy China 2030" Planning Outline issued by the State Council and the National Health Commission, to promote the "Healthy China" and "Healthy Sichuan" development strategies, and to strengthen the concept of health for all citizens, on the afternoon of December 25, 2021, under the guidance of the Sichuan Provincial Association for Science and Technology and hosted by the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society, the "Inaugural Meeting and First Academic Forum of the Medical and Health Information Communication Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society" was successfully held in Chengdu.
According to the society's constitution, through democratic election, Dr. Yu Tao from the Second Hospital of West China Medical Center, Sichuan University, was elected as the first president of the branch. Secretary-General Chen Bin of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society officially presented the plaque to the Medical and Health Information Communication Branch. The newly appointed President Dr. Yu Tao delivered a speech and put forward specific requirements for the future work of the branch.
On the same afternoon, the branch held its first academic forum. Professor Yu Tao from the Second Hospital of West China Medical Center, Dr. Gan Qi from West China Hospital, Professor Zheng Liwei from West China Hospital of Stomatology, Director Chen Xiaomin from Luzhou People's Hospital, Dr. Xue Siliang and Dr. Nie Hongfei from West China Hospital presented a splendid academic feast, which was highly praised by the attending representatives.
The establishment of the Medical and Health Information Communication Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society and the first academic forum concluded successfully amidst the enthusiastic discussions of the experts. The establishment of the branch is conducive to gathering talents in the field of medical science popularization within the province, building a platform for exchange and learning, and contributing new strength to the development of health for all citizens.
