On December 15-16, 2021, the "Inaugural Meeting and Annual Academic Conference of the Health and Medical Records Information Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society," hosted by the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society and undertaken by the Sichuan Academy of Medical Sciences & Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, was held with great ceremony in Chengdu. Over 100 professionals from various medical institutions across the province, including medical records, information, medical affairs, and medical insurance, participated in this grand event.

    Following the establishment meeting's election, Comrade Li Hongying from the Sichuan Academy of Medical Sciences & Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital was elected as the President of the Health and Medical Records Information Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society. Four comrades, Du Liang, Yang Changhao, Wang Lian, and Lin Min, were elected as Vice Presidents, and Comrade Zhou Die was appointed as Secretary-General. Vice President Huang Jian of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society officially presented the plaque to the Health and Medical Records Information Branch.

    Vice President Wang Li of Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Secretary-General Chen Bin of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society, and other leaders and experts attended the conference. In her speech, Vice President Wang Li expressed her hope that under the leadership of the Health and Medical Records Information Branch, the integration of multidisciplinary fields such as medical records information, bioinformatics, computer science, and the internet+ within provincial medical institutions will be promoted. She emphasized the importance of fully utilizing and integrating medical big data resources to promote the continuous high-quality and high-level development of hospitals.

    Secretary-General Chen Bin stated in his speech that the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society aims to unite professionals in biomedicine, information, computation, and related fields. The society is committed to building a bridge for cooperation and communication between hospitals, governments, and enterprises. It focuses on the forefront of industry development, disseminating new technologies and concepts, and is dedicated to creating a high-end technical service platform for innovative research and transformation in biomedicine in the new era.
