Every year on October 28th, World Men's Health Day is observed. The theme for this year's Men's Health Day is "Advocating a Healthy Lifestyle, Ensuring Men's Health." In response to this call, the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society's Male Health Branch, in conjunction with the Fourth People's Hospital of Shifang, held the first Shifang "Andrology Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Application and Outlook" Department Construction Discussion and the Elderly Male Health Publicity Activity on October 29th to 30th, 2022.

    The meeting was hosted by Zeng Kai, a young backbone of the Andrology Department of the Fourth People's Hospital of Shifang. First, President Yang Zunqiang of the Fourth People's Hospital of Shifang delivered a speech, warmly welcoming the experts and colleagues from other andrology departments. President Yang expressed that this is a rare learning opportunity and hopes that through this meeting, close ties with higher-level hospitals can be established, exploring development strategies and models for primary-level andrology departments, and wished the meeting great success.

    President Feng Qiang of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society's Male Health Branch also addressed the conference, thanking the Fourth People's Hospital of Shifang for hosting the meeting and welcoming colleagues interested in the field of andrology to discuss the diagnosis and treatment of male health diseases and diseases in the elderly male population. He hopes that the hospital will seize the opportunity, forge ahead, and build the andrology department into a key specialty with significant influence in the region.

    Director Gu Xiaohui of the Medical Affairs Department's Internet Management Office of Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital also addressed the conference, demonstrating a chronic disease management model for male and female health patients from an internet perspective. Leveraging the advantages of the internet, using offline specialty alliances and online remote consultations, services can be more convenient and efficient for patients.

    The second item on the agenda was academic lectures, with Professor Cao Dehong from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Director He Bin from Sichuan Provincial Second Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Director Zhang Hui from Sichuan Reproductive Health Center Hospital, Director Liu Hongjian from Suining Central Hospital, Dr. Liu Jiannan from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Director Cheng Shaoxu from Guang'an District People's Hospital, and Zeng Kai from the Fourth People's Hospital of Shifang delivering special reports on the latest developments in the field of andrology at home and abroad.

    During the break, the attending experts visited the mobile clinic specially designed for male health diagnosis and treatment by Sichuan Weiqi Medical Devices Company, a guest of the branch. There was a keen interest in the mobile clinic, and the experts discussed using 5G technology to create a more comprehensive and capable mobile clinic. Shifang TV also followed the entire meeting and interviewed President Feng Qiang and Assistant Dean Shi Bin.

    Finally, President Feng Qiang concluded the meeting, expressing that the meeting was a great success, thanking the organizing committee for their meticulous planning and the experts for their wonderful lectures, and summarizing the differences and experiences in clinical diagnosis and treatment.
