From April 19th to 20th, the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society's Male Health Branch's provincial continuing education and the fourth academic conference were successfully held in Chengdu. The conference gathered numerous experts and scholars in the field of andrology to discuss the latest research progress and clinical practice experience in the field of male health.

   On the afternoon of April 19th, Professor Shang Xuejun, the director of the Andrology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, attended the nursing academic exchange session and delivered a speech for the conference. Professor Shang emphasized that male health, as an important branch of modern medicine, has always been a focus of attention. With the continuous development of medical science and technology, our understanding of male health is also deepening. The convening of this conference not only provides us with an academic exchange platform but also injects new impetus into the development of the male health cause.

   Subsequently, Director Xiong Wei from the Department of Urology at Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital shared a special report on "The Evolution of Renal Cancer Treatment," elaborating on the latest technologies and research findings in renal cancer treatment, sparking heated discussions among the participants.

   At the nursing academic exchange meeting, Nurse Managers Zhou Min from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Deng Yuhan from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Wen Xiaoyan from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital, Huang Junying from Chengdu Boda Urology Hospital, Yuan Ting from the Department of Urology at 363 Hospital, Dr. Liu Jiannan from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, and Professor Liu Jing from the same hospital presented academic reports on topics such as "Key Points and Expected Effects of Postoperative Care for Patients with Penile Support Body," "Practice of Urinary Control Management after Radical Prostatectomy," "Application of Intermittent Cystostomy in Clinical Practice," "Nursing During the Perioperative Period of Hidden Penis in Children," "Diagnostic and Treatment Standards and Progress of Traumatic Erectile Dysfunction," and "New Endocrine Treatment of Prostate Cancer."

   On the morning of April 20th, Deputy Secretary-General Shi Zheng of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society delivered a speech at the conference, warmly welcoming the experts and scholars who had come from afar. Deputy Secretary-General Shi pointed out that the development of the male health cause still faces many challenges and difficulties. On the one hand, male health issues are complex and diverse, requiring us to continuously innovate research methods and means to improve the pertinence and effectiveness of research. On the other hand, the popularization and improvement of male health awareness remain a long-term and arduous task, requiring us to strengthen publicity and education to raise public awareness and participation.

   Director Feng Qiang delivered the "Annual Report of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society's Male Health Branch," comprehensively reviewing the work achievements and highlights of the branch over the past year. Immediately following, Secretary Zhang Hui of the Male Health Branch introduced the 2023 provincial continuing education project in detail, showcasing the future development plan of the branch.

   Subsequently, Teacher Wu Jing presided over the annual advanced award ceremony of the branch. Comrades Zhang Hui, Lv Tianbing, Zhang Jiaming, and Yang Chao were awarded the Annual Outstanding Contribution Award of the Branch; Comrades Cao Dehong and Li Guangsen received the Annual Excellent Training Lecturer Award of the Branch; Comrades Wang Yang, Chen Xiao, and Zhou Min were honored with the Annual Advanced Individual Award. Leaders of the society and the branch presented certificates to the awardees and took a commemorative photo.

   Directors Feng Qiang and Secretary Zhang Hui presided over the first half of the academic conference. Professors Yuan Yiming from the First Hospital of Peking University, Tang Yuxin from the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, Wang Jian from Nantong Second Hospital, and Gu Xiaohui from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, among other experts, delivered academic reports on topics such as "Management of Recurrence After Varicocelectomy," "Principle and Clinical Application of Rigiscan in Detecting Erectile Dysfunction," "Experience Sharing of Prosthesis Implantation After Malignant Tumor Surgery," and "Healthy Development and Application of 'Internet Plus' Precision Medicine," sharing their latest research findings and clinical experiences in the field of andrology.

   In the afternoon of April 20th, the conference continued in depth. Professors Guo Chuan from Chengfei Hospital and Chen Xiao from the Fifth People's Hospital of Sichuan Province chaired the meeting. Professors Li Guangsen from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital, Cao Dehong from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Zou Zhili from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Director Wang Yang from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated Hospital, Director Hu Donghua from Sichuan Reproductive Specialized Hospital, Director Zhang Jiaming from Jiangyou People's Hospital, Professor Li Tingxin from the Physical Examination Center of Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Professor Wan Yongqiang from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Director Wang Na from Hui De Kang Medical, Professor Jiang Xiaohui from the Second Hospital of West China University of Medical Sciences, Dean Sun Jiuming from Xingjing County Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital, Professor Feng Qiang from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, and other experts and professors from well-known medical institutions focused on topics such as "Research on the Distribution Pattern and Influencing Factors of Chronic Prostatitis Syndrome Types in Chengdu Area," "Interpretation of Guidelines for Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment of Premature Ejaculation," "Psychological Characteristics and Interventions of Male Sexual Dysfunction," "The 'Farm Bull' and 'Premature Ejaculation'," "Precision Management Under Strict DRG Control," "Weight Control and Male Sexual Dysfunction," "A Brief Discussion on the Ultrasound Diagnosis of Penile Diseases," "Clinical Standardized Diagnostic and Treatment Pathways and Progress in Reproductive Urology," "Research Progress of 5-HT Agonists and Clinical Application of Shen Ge Bu Shen Capsules," "Male Lifelong Management—Report on the Construction of the Men's Department of Jiangyou People's Hospital," "Discussion on Primary Level Andrology Construction—Transurethral Resection of the Prostate for the Treatment of Intractable Hematospermia," and "Non-invasive Detection of Urinary System Tumors," presenting academic reports and showcasing the cutting-edge dynamics and clinical advancements in the field of andrology.

   At the end of the conference, Director Feng Qiang summarized the meeting, highly affirming the contributions of the attending experts and scholars and the results achieved by the conference. He emphasized that male health is related to the happiness and well-being of thousands of families and requires the joint efforts of all medical workers to continuously innovate and make progress. In addition, Secretary Zhang Hui also presided over the Male Health Branch Executive Committee Meeting. At the meeting, after careful deliberation, 23 new branch committee members including Ding Wei were elected to further strengthen the talent construction of the branch. After the meeting, the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society issued appointment letters to the newly elected members, encouraging them to contribute more to the development of the male health cause.

The successful conclusion of this conference not only provided a platform for experts and scholars in the field of andrology to exchange and learn but also injected new vitality into the development of the male health cause in Sichuan Province and across the country. We look forward to more similar academic conferences in the future to contribute wisdom and strength to the development of the male health cause.
