【Organizational Construction + Meeting Dynamics】The Establishment of the Pediatric Intelligence Branch and the Academic Annual Meeting, along with the Provincial Continuing Education Project "Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Seminar on Severe Infections and Immunological Diseases in Children", was successfully held!

   From September 26 to 27, 2024, the establishment of the Pediatric Intelligence Branch of the Sichuan Association of Bioinformatics and its first academic meeting were successfully held in Chengdu. The conference attracted numerous renowned experts and scholars from the pediatric medical field. They actively participated, witnessed the grand establishment of the Pediatric Intelligence Branch, and engaged in detailed and profound discussions on the research progress, innovative achievements, and future strategic planning of Pediatric Intelligence.


   Firstly, Professor Lu Liqun provided a detailed introduction to the preparatory work of the branch.


   Subsequently, Zhou Jueqiao, the Deputy Secretary-General of the Sichuan Association of Bioinformatics, reported on the recommendation of committee candidate and qualification review, ensuring the fairness of the election.


   Then, under the witness of all committee members, supervisors, and vote counters, the first session of the standing committee members, the director, and deputy directors were elected, marking the official establishment of the Pediatric Intelligence Branch of the Sichuan Association of Bioinformatics!

   Following that, Professor Lu Liqun, the newly elected director of the branch, delivered a speech.


   Professor Lu Liqun emphasized the data-driven nature of Pediatric Intelligence, asserting the necessity to keep pace with technology and the times, and to actively progress. She proposed that the development of Pediatric Intelligence needs to rely on big data and artificial intelligence technology to improve diagnostic efficiency and quality, achieving personalized and precise medical services. Director Lu's speech not only provided profound insights for the attendees but also pointed out the direction for the future development of Pediatric Intelligence. Her views and suggestions are of significant guiding importance for promoting academic exchanges, technological innovation, and talent cultivation in the field of Pediatric Intelligence.


   Next, Deputy Secretary-General Zhou Jueqiao of the association awarded the branch with a plaque and issued a letter of appointment to the director, and Director Lu Liqun issued letters of appointment to the deputy directors. This is both an affirmation of the new director's leadership team and a reflection of the association's firm belief and commitment to future prosperity.


   Then, Deputy Secretary-General Zhou Jueqiao delivered a speech. In her speech, she particularly emphasized the importance of cooperation and innovation in promoting the development of the discipline. She pointed out that through this platform, experts and scholars can learn from each other and inspire each other to jointly promote the research and practice in the field of Pediatric Intelligence to continuously move forward. She stressed that in the construction of Pediatric Intelligence, attention should be paid to data collection and analysis, the use of artificial intelligence technology to improve the accuracy of diagnosis and treatment, and the enhancement of primary medical service capabilities through means such as telemedicine. She also mentioned that the development of Pediatric Intelligence requires the integration of multiple disciplines such as medicine, engineering, and science, and through interdisciplinary cooperation, the absorption of technologies and methods from other disciplines is expected to better solve clinical problems, making pediatric medical services more intelligent and precise.


   Subsequently, all members of the conference took a group photo to commemorate this beautiful beginning.


   After the conference, Professor Lu Liqun gave a party class titled "Tempering Hard Skills, Shaping Fine Style".


   The following day, the provincial continuing education project "Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment Seminar on Severe Infections and Immunological Diseases in Children" was held. During this seminar, pediatric experts from major hospitals in Sichuan Province gathered together to discuss the latest diagnostic and treatment progress of neonatal and pediatric diseases. The project covers various aspects from the diagnosis and treatment of neonatal stroke to the management of pediatric critical illnesses, aiming to enhance the professional level of clinical doctors and their ability to handle complex cases. Many experts and scholars in the field of pediatrics conducted in-depth discussions on hot topics such as severe infections, immunological diseases, neonatal neurological injury and repair.


   Professor Wang Xianmin from Sichuan Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital presented a wonderful report on "Volume Assessment and Management of Pediatric Heart Failure", providing new perspectives for the management of pediatric heart failure. Professor Chen Jia from Mianyang Central Hospital shared the research results of "Premature Infant Neurodevelopmental Follow-up", emphasizing the importance of early intervention. Professor Dong Wenbin from Southwest Medical University Affiliated Hospital introduced the application of "Neuro Multimodal Monitoring in Neonatal Brain Injury", showcasing the progress of monitoring technology in the diagnosis of neonatal brain injury. Professor Li Xihong from West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University discussed "Critical Illness Assessment of Critically Ill Children", providing a standardized process for the assessment of critically ill children.


   Professor Xie Xiaoli and Professor Ju Rong from Chengdu Women's and Children's Central Hospital respectively shared the "Progress in Diagnosis and Clinical Application of Biological Agents in Pediatric IBD" and "Expert Consensus on Clinical Standard Management of Neonatal Hypoglycemia", providing new treatment strategies and consensus for the management of pediatric IBD and neonatal hypoglycemia. Professor Zhao Jing from the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College discussed "Neuroprotective Strategies for Premature Infants Based on Existing Evidence", providing a scientific basis for the neuroprotection of premature infants. Professor Gao Shuqiang from Chengdu Women's and Children's Central Hospital introduced "Diagnosis and Treatment of Neonatal Bilirubin Encephalopathy", providing new ideas for the treatment of neonatal jaundice.


   Professor Liu Chonghai from the Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College shared "Clinical Interpretation and Application of Common Infection Indicators in Children", improving the diagnostic accuracy of infectious diseases for the participants. Professor Li Deyuan and Professor Wang Hua from West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University respectively gave in-depth explanations on "Diagnosis and Treatment of Severe Viral Pneumonia in Children" and "Respiratory Management of Extremely Premature Infants", providing new methods for the treatment of pediatric respiratory system diseases. Professor Zhang Yong from Sichuan Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital discussed "Diagnosis and Treatment of Neonatal Convulsions", providing guidance for the clinical treatment of neonatal convulsions.

   Professor Li Li from West China Second Hospital of Sichuan University introduced "Screening Technology and Treatment Strategies for Congenital Heart Disease", providing a new direction for the early diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart disease. Professor Pi Guanghuan from Sichuan Provincial Maternal and Child Health Hospital shared "Diagnosis and Treatment of Pediatric Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome", providing valuable experience for the clinical handling of this syndrome. Professor Peng Qian from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital introduced "Progress in Diagnosis and Treatment of Kawasaki Disease", providing new insights into the diagnosis and treatment of Kawasaki disease.

   Finally, Professor Lu Liqun from the First Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu Medical College shared "Precision Treatment of Severe Infectious Diseases in Children - Case Sharing", demonstrating the application of precision treatment in severe infectious diseases in children through specific cases.


   This conference not only provided a platform for pediatricians to learn and exchange but also promoted the development and progress of pediatric medicine. The successful holding of the conference not only marks a new starting point in the field of Pediatric Intelligence but also provides a valuable platform for future research and practice. The participants are full of expectations for the development prospects of Pediatric Intelligence and believe that the progress in this field will bring more benefits to children's health.
