The Third Executive Board Meeting of the First Session of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society Was Successfully Held!

   On September 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM, the third executive meeting of the first council of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society was successfully held in Meeting Room A3-411 on the 4th floor of Building D5-A, Chengdu Frontier Medical Center. The meeting was presided over by the society's chairman, Shen Bairong.


   The meeting listened to and deliberated the report on the "Summary of Work from January to August 2023 and Work Plan for the Second Half of the Year" presented by Huang Jian, the vice chairman of the society. The report reviewed the work of the society's council from January to August 2023, affirmed the achievements made, and made deployments and arrangements for the work in the second half of 2023. The society adheres to the guidance of the thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era, unites and leads a large number of scientific and technological workers who are enthusiastic about bioinformatics research, and makes due contributions to the development of the scientific cause of bioinformatics and related fields of biomedical big data research. The society is committed to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship practices and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in the field of biomedical information, promoting the integration of related disciplines, talent cultivation, and the incubation of industrial projects. With a united heart and effort, and taking advantage of the situation, the society is dedicated to serving the big health industry and the well-being of the people.

   The meeting heard and reviewed the report on the "2023 Recruitment Plan, Staff Division of Labor, and WeChat Group Construction for Branch Management" presented by Zeng Guojun, the Secretary-General of the society. The report detailed the society's plans for recruiting new personnel, the division of labor among staff, and the establishment of WeChat groups for managing various branches. The meeting approved these initiatives, recognizing their importance for the efficient operation and coordination within the society.

   The meeting deliberated and passed the revision report on "Internal Governance Regulations (Supplemented According to Sichuan Provincial Local Standards), a Total of 21" presented by Zhou Jueqiao, the Deputy Secretary-General of the society. This report outlined the updates and amendments made to the internal governance systems of the society, ensuring they are in compliance with the local standards of Sichuan Province and are up-to-date with the organization's needs.

The meeting deliberated and approved the financial report and proposed revisions to the system presented by Shi Zheng, the Deputy Secretary-General of the society. The proposal for system revision was formulated in accordance with the national standards for social organizations. During the meeting, amendments were made to the communication review fee standards as part of the system revision.

Additionally, the meeting addressed the risk issues associated with the society's meeting affairs and announced a catalog for the prevention and control of integrity risks.
