In order to enhance the level of the Sichuan Province Bioinformatics Society (hereinafter referred to as "the Society") and to better promote the continuous and healthy development of the Society, the first third council and membership representative conference of the Sichuan Province Bioinformatics Society was successfully held in Chengdu at 13:30 on December 29, 2023.

   The conference heard and reviewed the work situation of 2023, the financial work report of 2023, the report of the Society's supervisory board, and the dismissal and appointment of personnel matters of the Society, which were submitted to the conference for full review. More than 100 people participated in the conference both online and offline, hosted by the deputy secretary-general of the Society, Zhou Juqiao.

   Secretary-General Zeng Guojun reviewed the work of the Society in 2023 and gave an outlook for the work in 2024. He put forward new requirements and expectations in aspects such as party building, integrity construction, standardized management of the Society, development of branches, science popularization and education, academic exchanges, activity innovation, member services, social responsibility, and international exchange and cooperation.

   Party Branch Secretary Chen Liqiong summarized the work of the Society's party branch in 2023 and proposed a work plan for 2024. In 2023, under the leadership of the first responsible person of the branch party building, the cohesion and combat effectiveness of all party members of the branch have been further strengthened, and significant progress has been made in all aspects of work. In 2024, the branch will actively respond to the requirements of the higher party organizations, focus on theoretical armament, strengthen organizational construction, pay attention to style construction, and deepen integrity construction.

   Vice Chairman Zhou Zhen announced that, according to the decision on the dismissal and appointment of personnel of the Sichuan Province Bioinformatics Society, in accordance with the regulations of the articles of association of the Sichuan Province Bioinformatics Society and in combination with the current development situation and work needs of the Society, after the third meeting of the first council of the Society, Chen Bin was dismissed from the positions of executive director and secretary-general, Zeng Guojun was appointed as the executive director and secretary-general of the Sichuan Province Bioinformatics Society, Shi Zheng was appointed as the deputy secretary-general, and Zhou Juqiao was appointed as the full-time deputy secretary-general.

   Vice Chairman Huang Jian of the Society reported on the existing risks of the Society and reviewed the Society's integrity risk prevention and control catalog.

   The conference heard the report on the existing risks of the Society by Vice Chairman Huang Jian and reviewed the "Society's Integrity Risk Prevention and Control."

   Chairman Shen Bairong of the Society announced and reviewed the amendment of Chapter 4 of the "Articles of Association of Sichuan Province Bioinformatics Society."

   Finally, Chairman Shen Bairong proposed the amendment to Chapter 4 of the "Articles of Association of Sichuan Province Bioinformatics Society" and concluded the conference. Shen Bairong put forward four requirements: "to do a good job in member services, promote the integration of multiple disciplines, strengthen the union of national-level societies, and the development of the Society to be younger."
