On June 29th, the Journal of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China convened the launch meeting for the "Bioinformatics Column." Editorial board members of the column, including Shen Bairong, Huang Jian, Chen Wei, Lin Hao, and Zou Quan, along with the column secretary Ning Lin and relevant persons in charge from the journal's editorial department, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Tian Jiang, the director of the journal's editorial department.

    In service of the significant national strategic demand of "Healthy China," to promote the development of the bioinformatics discipline and talent cultivation, and to rapidly disseminate research progress and innovative achievements in the basic theories and key technologies of bioinformatics, the Journal of University of Electronic Science and Technology of China has specially invited the Sichuan Provincial Bioinformatics Society to co-found the "Bioinformatics Column." 

    This column focuses on the latest research achievements and cutting-edge technologies in the field of bioinformatics, publishing innovative, high-level research papers, thematic reviews, and academic trends, aiming to build an efficient, open academic exchange platform led by front-line scientific researchers. The meeting conducted an in-depth discussion on the operation and development of the column.

    In recent years, the journal has continuously focused on the academic frontier, establishing featured columns such as complexity science, artificial intelligence, quantum information, and Chengdu Youth Scholars · Information and Communication Engineering, continuously enhancing the academic influence of the journal.
