Men's Health Branch Second Academic Meeting

    On the occasion of the 101st anniversary of the founding of the Party, to implement the "Healthy China 2030 Outline" by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, actively carry out the "Caring for Men's Health, Building a Harmonious Family" action, popularize men's health knowledge, and effectively improve the level of diagnosis and treatment and professional quality of andrology in Sichuan, a platform for exchanging new developments, new technologies, and appropriate technology applications in men's health was established. On July 2, 2022, the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society Men's Health Branch held its "Chronic Disease Management, Appropriate Technology Application, and Second Academic Exchange Meeting" in Chengdu. Attendees included Director Qiu Mingxing and Director Feng Qiang from Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Professor Cao Dehong from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Director Gu Xiaohui from the Medical Affairs Department of Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, and nearly a hundred experts and scholars from inside and outside the province.

    The meeting was hosted by Secretary-General Zhang Hui of the Men's Health Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society. First was the leadership speech segment, where Director Gu Xiaohui of the Medical Affairs Department of Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital and the Internet Hospital Management Office delivered a speech on behalf of the hospital to the conference. Director Gu expressed that since the establishment of the Men's Health Branch nearly a year ago, under the leadership of President Feng Qiang, many foundational works have been carried out, and the popularization of men's health has seen good development. Leveraging the hospital's MDT platform, the integration of urological diseases and multidisciplinary diagnosis and treatment models has been well promoted, greatly enhancing the service capability for male diseases. It is believed that with the joint efforts of the experts present, the development of the branch will get better and better. Director Qiu Mingxing of the Urology Department of Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital also addressed the conference via video.

President Feng Qiang's Annual Work Report

    Next, President Feng Qiang of the Men's Health Branch of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society presented a work report for the previous year. President Feng stated that since the establishment of the Men's Health Branch nearly a year ago, under the strong leadership of the society and with the care, support, and assistance of leaders and experts, we have fulfilled our work responsibilities, actively participated in various public welfare activities, and organized small meetings and academic salons for experts and young doctors in urology and andrology in Sichuan to exchange professional knowledge and share experiences. Many consensuses have been reached in the field of disease diagnosis and treatment. In the coming year, we will continue to hold similar activities to serve more doctors engaged in andrology at the grassroots level and actively promote the integrated development of multiple disciplines.

    The academic exchange session featured lectures by Professor Wang Jian from Nantong Second People's Hospital, Professor Cao Dehong from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Director Liu Hongjian from Suining Central Hospital, and Nurse Director Zhou Min from the Urology Department of Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, among 16 other presenters. They shared their work experiences, case discussions, and future prospects for the construction of andrology from various aspects, including male urinary system diseases, male functional diseases, diagnostic advances in male diseases, male infertility, and nursing care for male diseases.

    With this, the one-day Sichuan Bioinformatics Society Men's Health Branch Second Academic Meeting came to a successful end. Participants at the offline and online conference, as well as colleagues interested in the field of andrology, are invited to join the next meeting.
