On the afternoon of April 14th, the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society (hereinafter referred to as "Sichuan Bioinformatics") and the Guangxi Bioinformatics Society delegation held a discussion and exchange activity at the Hampton by Hilton Hotel in Chengdu. Professor Shen Bairong, the chairman of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society, attended the meeting.

    Chairman Shen Bairong provided a detailed introduction to the development, operation, and management of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society. Subsequently, Cao Junyue, the secretary-general of the Guangxi Bioinformatics Society, also gave a detailed introduction to the establishment and current status of the Guangxi Bioinformatics Society.

    Chairman Shen Bairong warmly welcomed the Guangxi Bioinformatics Society delegation and affirmed the timely establishment and integration of the Guangxi Bioinformatics Society into the national bioinformatics community. He believed that both parties, being in the western region, should fully exchange and cooperate, leveraging regional advantages to create distinctive regional projects, promote the vigorous development of bioinformatics in Sichuan and Guangxi, and contribute to the advancement of bioinformatics in the western region and across the country. Chen Qingfeng, the chairman of the Guangxi Bioinformatics Society, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception by the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society. He stated that the purpose of the visit was to learn and exchange experiences, to draw on the advanced experiences of peer units, to identify shortcomings, and to further standardize and improve the management of the society. He pledged to bring the successful experiences back to Guangxi and extended a warm invitation to the leaders of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society to visit and guide in Guangxi.

    On the morning of April 15th, the Guangxi Bioinformatics Society delegation visited the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society's office located at the Chengdu Frontier Medical Center in the High-tech Zone of Chengdu and further engaged in exchanges and learning.
