On the afternoon of January 17, 2024, the "2023 China (Sichuan) First Health Science Popularization Influence List" was grandly released in Chengdu. Hundreds of medical experts from across Sichuan witnessed the unveiling of the "Health Science Popularization Pioneers."

   The event aimed to fully reflect the achievements made in health science popularization work in Sichuan. Since the registration for health science popularization works began in December 2023, there has been a positive response from medical institutions and practitioners at all levels in Sichuan. The event received more than 500 health science popularization works from over 50 hospitals, 100 departments, and more than 300 doctors in Sichuan. The works included numerous submissions from hospital departments and individual doctors, as well as a large number of high-quality health science popularization accounts. Participants ranged from large tertiary public hospitals such as West China Hospital of Sichuan University and Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital to grassroots community health service centers, and from well-known industry experts to primary care doctors from counties. The content of the health science popularization covered a wide range of topics, including nutrition, breast disease knowledge, ophthalmology, mental health, gynecology, pediatrics, and more, presented in a lively and interesting manner. The organizing units evaluated the submitted works from multiple dimensions, including content, creativity, and dissemination, resulting in over 100 awards across four major categories: "Health Science Popularization Pioneer Individual," "Health Science Popularization Pioneer Department," "Health Science Popularization Outstanding Accounts (both unit and individual)," and "Health Science Popularization Outstanding Works."

   Secretary-General Zeng Guojun of the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society attended the award ceremony, and Deputy Secretary-General Zhou Jueqiao presented awards to the winners.

   The ceremony took place with the anticipation that in 2024, the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society will further focus on medical science popularization, build more valuable resources and platforms, disseminate health knowledge, and help the public fully understand and master health science knowledge. It is expected that in 2024, the Sichuan Bioinformatics Society will benefit more members of the public in the field of medical health science popularization and fully play the role of the "main front for academic exchange" and the "main force in science popularization."
