The Sichuan Provincial Bioinformatics Society (BISSC) is dedicated to serving the large health industry and people's livelihoods, integrating clinical medicine, cutting-edge medical informatics, artificial intelligence, and big data from multiple disciplines.    Li Ang, a member of the Communist Party of China, is the Party Committee Secretary of Guang'an City People's Hospital, dispatched by West China Hospital of Sichuan University. He has been committed to the surgical treatment and clinical research of pancreatic cancer, known as the "cancer king": He has carried out translational treatments for locally advanced pancreatic cancer earlier in China and was one of the first in China to conduct clinical research on methylated cell-free DNA for the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. He has devoted himself to the construction of the West China Medical Consortium, promoting rapid improvements in the management and academic level of Guang'an City People's Hospital, achieving leaps from B+ to B++ and then to A in the "National Performance Assessment of Public Tertiary Hospitals." He was selected as a "reserve candidate for academic and technical leaders in Sichuan Province," awarded "advanced individual in national foreign medical aid work," and as a dispatched manager, he received the "7th China Hospital Management Award for Smart Hospital Bronze Award" and other awards. As an outstanding representative of West China Hospital and Deputy Director of the Digital Health Branch of the Sichuan Provincial Bioinformatics Society, he has made significant achievements in the medical and bioinformatics fields for many years. He is committed to the surgical treatment and clinical research of pancreatic cancer, continuously innovating treatment methods, and improving patient survival rates, setting an example for the medical community. At the same time, he also actively participates in various activities of the society, contributing his wisdom and strength to the development of the digital health field.

His story inspires every member of the society to contribute more to the development of bioinformatics in China. The award of the "Sichuan Province May 1st Labor Medal" is an affirmation of Comrade Li Ang's long-term hard work and selfless dedication.
